Changing site URLs earn by blogging adsense income

After changing website URLs, settting up the necessary 301 redirects, submitted a new sitemap and requested indexing for each new page URL, I see both the old and new URLs in the Google SERP. Is it necessary to submit requests for URL removal of the old URLs or will Google eventually remove them? Is there any reason why it's bad to have both the old and new page URLs floating around results pages?
