404 Errors - delete with search console or 301 redirect? earn by blogging adsense income

so usually when there is a page indexed which turns out to be a 404, I remove the page from the index trough search console. However at the moment, there are some pictures indexed from my about page, which aren't there anymore. Should I remove these picture url's or should I redirect them to the about page?
