Competitor Use Adwords for My Company Name Search earn by blogging adsense income

Recently I found out that my competitor is paying AdWords for my company name and service. When I search my company on Google, I can see the competitor's AdWords ad. Should I bid my own company name in AdWords to increase his cpc?
