Exact Match Domains - Any benefit in 2018? earn by blogging adsense income

Hi, I'm buying a domain name and wonder should I get the EMD or brandname+EMD.com ?

The EMD is available and is not a premium domain.

The EMD is 9 characters. The brand name plus EMD is 12 characters.

The EMD is a .co.uk, while I could get a .com for the brand name plus EMD.

The EMD won't be spammy but just the name of the generic product.

It would be great to get your expert opinion if EMDs still have any value at all. The website will be ecommerce, affiliate and blog.
