Hosting provided added themselves as owner in Google Search Console earn by blogging adsense income

I recently switched to a new hosting provider and just got an email from Google Search Console saying that the new host added themselves as owner of my site in Google Search Console.

My first reaction is to think this is weird but I'm wondering, is there any legititmate reason why a hosting provider would do that?
