I've been talking to support about non-friendly SEO URLs which she guided and helped me but the solution remains ambiguous. I really don't know why Shopify (those who have experience with this CMS should know pretty well) doesn't have a solution for SEO-friendly URL's. It's so stupid and it's driving me nuts.
Why does it have to include "Collection", "Products" "Pages", which is totally useless? I know the canonical version in the source code is there, but still why isn't the base URL not made simpler. And there is no way of distributing products hierarchically as Shopify puts all collection as main meaning omitting the point of sub-categories. Suppose I sell shoes and oxfords should come as Home/shoes/oxfords/product. But in fact, in Shopify, it will come as home/"collection"(wtf?)/oxfords/"product"(plz kill me)/product. This is just absurd.
Until Shopify somehow provides a solution for this mess, I am going to suggest to all to never use Shopify for SEO for those in e-commerce. This literally makes zero sense.
