Why I think working at an SEO agency is meaningless in terms of growing your skill set + advancing career earn by blogging adsense income

Just some of the things I realized while working at an agency:
1) You can't make the direct implementations which you feel is correct. ie. content has to be constantly reviewed by the client legal team (which has always been a long process) and even if it can be implemented within a short period of time, the director or manager above me does it and won't let me do it. hell, neither will even give me access to the client's CMS. they'll tell me, "you don't need it.". this is hindering my ability to improve my skill sets and get more involved in the serious nitty gritty work.

2) Everything is so structured and because of my lower role/position compared to let's say a Manager, they will never let me speak to the C-Suite and make pitches, even if I want to (for practice and improving my speaking skills) even on a simple weekly client call, my manager will proceed to lead the call and will hardly ever let me get speaking time

3) I've had a few big enterprise clients where they were a pain in the ass communicating and many times being unresponsive and not following our recommendations. if they don't listen and things don't get implemented, the outcome will be bad and results will not be seen. then they could blame us for performance related issues and my job could be at jeopardy if we end up losing this big client. and I'm sure analysts like me are far more easy to replace than let's say a head director or manager. (this is a scenario that i strongly feel could happen any day now)

That being said, I'm really starting to question if working at an SEO agency is really worth it. of course, I did learn a lot as opposed to when I knew nothing about SEO, but it's not helping me advance my skill sets and I'm unable to find any true meaning working here in terms of growing my SEO skill set and advancing my career. what do you guys think, any similar experiences you'd like to share? do you agree or disagree? thanks for reading.
