I am a web developer, started with a wp website then switched to GitHub because it was free, fast and that's all I needed at time. Using WordPress requires to install a bunch of plugins, not only for seo but for general functionalities.
Now, the situation is a bit different because I launched a blog and posted few articles. I am starting to think about search engine ranking because the main goal here is to drive traffic and generate leads for my business.
When using one of the most famous seo plugin for WordPress I saw a lot of tweaks, I mean a lot. I know it's possible to implement same thing using plain HTML but I would like to know if that really important?
Should I invest in learning about those techniques or it's better to use wp and focus on the content?
PS: English is not my native language, if someone can suggest a good technique for building sentences. I write my blog posts by copy paste block of text from few different articles then I tweak and mix everything. I hate doing that but I can't help it. My goal is not to plagiarize other content but only build a snowman of the article. Users won't notice that but probably Google. They have smart algorithms those bastards!
