I think I discovered the ULTIMATE secret to success. It's not money. It's not smarts. It's not inspiration. It's not (only) hard work. entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

It's ORGANIZATION.

I realized this recently after pondering on how MUCH time I've just pissed away on all kinds of semi-failed projects.

I just jumped head first into them, without ORGANIZING my thoughts, my expectations, goals, technologies, etc.

Had I been a rigorous ORGANIZER I would've avoided the waste of time. Instead of just firing up an IDE and start coding away or chasing rainbows I should've:

1)Create some documentation beforehand where I ORGANIZE facts, goals, expectations, research.

2)During the project ORGANIZE myself so that I can tackle each and every issue. ORGANIZE so I can properly track how it goes at any moment in time.

But it's not only that. I've recently started a massive ORGANIZATION of as many aspects as possible, and it helps immensely. I'm not too much of that feeling of being stretched too thin or anxious about forgetting something important.

Here are some of the things that I'm doing:

1)Organize my backup plans. It's not a matter of if my hdd is going to crash, it's a matter of when. It's not a matter of if my OS is going to die, it's a matter of when. So I'm planning for every eventuality and saving my data - locally, on cloud, etc.

2)Organize my security. For years I've been lax - and still am about my passwords, encryption, etc. I'm making efforts in securing my online accounts (Kee Pass), protecting my data, etc.

3)Organize all the SHITLOAD of data, projects, resources and all the other crap that keeps piling up in my PC.

4)Properly research and document every endeavor that I'm talking or I'm planning to take. No more scribble on papers or temporary notepad edits. Right now I'm using Scrivener but I'm always in search for all kinds of organization software - Wunderlist, project management software, etc.

5)Organize my brain, my goals, my skills, my priorities. This is the hardest.

Still, I feel like there's so MUCH more ORGANIZING that I should be doing. I'm sure I'm missing lots of essential stuff. But I can already feel the benefits from the little organization I'm doing.

What are your tips on organizing your life, your business, etc? Did ORGANIZATION changed your life/business for the better?
