Is a .com domain worth the insane prices domain squatters want? earn by blogging adsense income

I'm a small business working with AI and I am debating between the .ai domain and the .com domain for my business name. The .ai domain is free and the .com domain is owned by a squatter who wants $10000 for it. Is a .com domain so important for a businesses success that I need to pay the $10000 or negotiate with the person for the domain instead of just going with .ai? Anyone who knows what my business does would probably remember the .ai extension
