Looking for advice on moving a site to a new domain and putting a new one in its place... earn by blogging adsense income

I've currently got a website, let's call it Site 1, there is some media on that site indexed and searchable by google it sits on URL 1.

Recently I decided to build a new site (Site 2) currently sitting on URL 2 which, once complete, is to replace Site 1 on URL 1.

Then Site 1 is to move to URL 3 and continue to be used.

For more context, both site 1 and site 2 are portfolios but for different purposes.

What I'd like to know is if there's anything I should be aware of when moving a site to a new domain and replacing a new site in its place.

So far I've thought of sorting out the domain change in google webmaster and obviously indexing the sites correctly in Wordpress.

This is super vague so any help/ideas/suggestions are welcome.
