Percentage of total product pages indexed on e-Commerce sites? earn by blogging adsense income

Do you work on the SEO for a medium or large e-Commerce site? Curious about the percentage of the site's product pages that are shown as indexed in Google Search Console.

We've recently taken on a medium sized e-Commerce site that had let its SEO efforts lapse (to put it mildly) and out of a total of ~85,000 product pages, ~21,000 are shown as indexed in Search Console. Our early efforts are increasing this number but only by nudges at a time.

How does this compare with sites you work on? Is it possible / reasonable to get to the point where every product page is indexed? If so, what tactics did you use?

And I'm speaking of indexed, not just crawled.
