SEO work for a simple person? earn by blogging adsense income

I have a personal assistant and he is awesome and has helped my company a lot but he isn't the smartest person. He works hard and is absolutely trustworthy. Right now I might have to let him go at the end of the year because I simply do not have work for him. Any ideas what I could let him work on or let him train to do?
