[How Do I?] Help with video pitching? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Back story: I am studying Entrepreneurship through university and for our assessment, we had to create a product/service which is based off a key trend. I chose an application which uses virtual and augmented reality that helps interior designers (Similar to the IKEA Place App).

A Summary of the App:The application allows designers to show case floor plans and room designs more effectively through the use of AR & VR to help save time, money and improve customer satisfaction (ensuring the clients needs have been met). - This app may already be on the market, i'm not entirely sure (Just the topic I thought of for the assessment)

Now, we have to create a 5 minute pitch (I have never created a pitch before) on the idea that involves: 1. Problem Statement which involves a S.M.A.R.T statement 2. The Value Proposition (I am trying to show that this app will save time, money and improve customer satisfaction) 3. Customer Segmentation (I have decided to pitch to interior designers as they are the main target audience) 4. Parts of the BMC which involves revenue, costs and market strategy. (The product would run on a SaaS (Subscription as a service model)

My question to this sub:

1. Have you ever created a 5 minute pitch (or even a pitch in general?)

2. How did it go? What kind of content did you use? (i.e. Just recording yourself, voice overs, a PowerPoint?)

3. How much industry statistics did you put in it? (if any) and what aspects of my product should I emphasize on?

4. Is it acceptable to put humour in your pitch?

5. What tips could you give me/or someone else video pitching for the first time? What have you learnt with your experience

6. With the topics that need to be stated within the pitch, how much time would you allocate for each section?

This assessment is only 10% of our final grade, but I would like to get as much knowledge as I can on the topic because I believe pitching is a very important skill set to hold. Any help is greatly appreciated.
