Image search CTR - what are your experiences? earn by blogging adsense income

I rank pretty high with Images but my CTR is quite low. I haven't found much info on how to optimize it for e-commerce.

All I know is that Google surfaces the image itself, the URL and the alt tag so any optimization should focus on those, especially the alt tag. Have you ever tried anything succesful, like using calls to action (Shop now!) followed by the product brand and name in the alt? Thank you SEO experts!
