Possible to rank a 'product page' on #1, when all other ranks are 'category-pages' ? - SEO E-Commerce earn by blogging adsense income

Hey there,

I try to keep this short:

I have an one-product online store.

That one product i offer has several variations (5 sizes and 5 colors per size so far).

​

Now I want to rank for a specific keyword - But my problem is, that the top 10 results in google are all(!) category-pages of online stores. Since a category page doesn't make sense to me, id like to know wheter it is possible to rank my product page for that keyword, or will google allways prefer well optimzed category-pages over product pages (like it seems to me)?

I've read a lot so far, but couldn't find a "best-practise-example" for an online-shop with only one product.

​

I'm using Wordpress with woocommerce if thats important.
