So as entrepreneurs and businessmen, and you wanted to build launch an e-commerce brand.

What would you pick? Wallet-light options like using shopify bigcommerce etc or build an app from the ground up by hiring a mobile app dev company(disclaimer: I work for one).

I was told that most entrepreneurs don't mind using templatised ready-made e-commerce brands for quick solutions, but when you have a business model that is reliant on standards set by someone else and recurring payments just to keep your business running, is it truly yours?

Don't get me wrong if I wanted to launch an e-commerce brand with products ready to be sold tomorrow I'd probably use a ready-made template than thinking and having one built from the ground up. But what about you guys? Is it that big businesses or wealthy serial entrepreneurs have money and time to focus on having one built from the ground up and the little guys leverage ready-made solutions?
