I work for a lead gen business that requires a form fill to return shipping rates. After submitting the required info, the visitor receives a customized rate that is pulled from various data tables. Over the last 3-4 years, the lag time to receive rates has slowly increased from less than 5 seconds to almost 40 seconds in some cases. I’m trying to make the case to my partners that decreasing that lag time needs to be our #1 priority, but we have lots on our plate and I can’t get buy in. I’ve read plenty of online studies about the importance of this, so I’m looking for personal testimonies. Thanks.
