Just a couple of days ago I launched my biggest project yet, Exposure Cards, which is a platform to discover underrated & interesting content as well as getting free impressions to your own - similar to StumbleUpon.
Needless to say I was pretty excited to have it out and I expected a good reception, but in the end it had a rather underwhelming launch - 3000 views in 3 days, ~100 submissions and 0 sales. Not only that, but fewer than 10% of the users that checked out the site in the first day returned to the website, and the number of visitors keeps decreasing significantly, despite my efforts through social media and other means.
At this point I find myself conflicted on what to do next - I believe Exposure Cards is a website with potential which would be interesting to plenty of users willing to promote their own sites, but I'm doubtful on the right method to achieve that. I've thought about running some ads in different websites, hiring SEO services, having a guest post somewhere, etc. but I am worried the site simply isn't good enough or it is lacking elsewhere.
Furthermore, I've come to /r/Entrepreneur so see if anyone would be capable of giving me some advice on how to grow the site & achieve a small but steady userbase that comes back regularly, and how could I manage to make my first sale. Thanks!
