Popular business to start lists are everywhere but they usually miss concrete information if you are actually looking to start something new.
We need to know how much time and money it costs to start and maintain these businesses from scratch, and what the average profits can be. I'm into tech so I just write what I know, but the idea of the list is all sorts of businesses, from window cleaning to owning a restaurant, so please add in your expertises.
Software Businesses

Needed: 36 months experience as developer, business development, designer or marketer, or finding people with complimentary skillsets.

Extra: For any chance of succes, only consider doing this if you can already do at least one of the needed skills. For testing out concepts use an MVP. There's a huge difference between an indie startup and a funded startup too.

Extra: Before you can actually look back on work you did 2 years ago and be okay happy with it, you're 6 to 8 years down the line. It takes a lot of time to be a good developer and it's definitely not something to start if you just want to make a bit of money fast.
