Hi so i just got my first client for my web design business. This is all freelance and I don't have an actual company yet. I have a few questions about this process. I am building a couple websites for a client. One website for his real estate properties and one for his restaurant.
- I am building this website on wordpress. This website is going to be pretty basic. It is for a commercial real estate property that has like 10 units we are trying to rent to business. Each unit will have a page with photos, information and a way to contact the owner about renting.
What should I do for hosting? My initial thought was to have them set up a wordpress account with hosting on their credit card and then give me the information to start building the site.
Do I just make this cost separate and omit it from the invoice? I don't really know much about hosting this website myself but would be happy to do it if it doesn't look to hard.
- The client already has a website hosted on weebly that a previous web design built for them. The page is not up to date and the company has gone dark and we can't get ahold of them. How do i get access to this site? We want to keep the domain name since it is exactly what we want. I would like to transfer this from weebly to wordpress but I can't get ahold of the old company that build this.
What should I do?
