I work for a relatively small company with 8 locations. It's a local-service company, so our store location is very relevant to any market we belong in.
Long story short, due to the way our pages our laid out (to look good on both mobile and desktop) we have our store-location schema data listed twice on about 60 pages. If schema markup were "visible" it would be shown once on mobile devices and once on desktops.
Now, do I need to go into each of these pages and remove the "duplicate" markup? Is there a negative to them being there? The two are completely identical (widgets pulling the same exact information) so there aren't consistency problems there.
