Last Christmas my wife made a couple small gifts for friends and family by putting her illustrations on products from Zazzle.com. They were small things like mugs and candy tins. I think they came out really nice and Zazzle made it really easy for her to put the designs on their products.
We want to explore the possibility of selling custom designed products but we don't really know where to start.
Zazzle, while easy to use, chargers a hefty commission for using their service and also doesn't allow it to be sold anywhere else. We would like to know where else we could get generic products manufactured with a custom design.
We aren't sure where to sell once we have products. Amazon, eBay, and Estey all seem to be good choices. We aren't sure if we should focus on one over others.
We would market the products mostly on Instagram, Pinterest, and Tumblr.
Any help for first steps would be greatly appreciated!
