Recently hit 100 sales on my Shopify/Printful site... which means I have a lot of new questions. Maybe you can answer one? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hi all, I have a Shopify/Printful site that sells book quote posters. I neglected it for awhile after launching, but lately I have been focusing on growing an audience, and I got over the 100 sales hump last week (with the help of a post on r/books that got pretty popular).

Anyway, I have some questions about my site, marketing, advertising, etc. If you can help answer anything I would be super appreciative.

1) Should I watermark the images on my site? I offer digital downloads, which are much higher resolution than the images on my site, but I'm guessing some people have just downloaded and printed the images.

2) I have been approached about a licensing sort of deal by a book publisher that has business in book-themed gift merchandise. We've had a few emails back and forth. It seems like the main negative of this type of agreement is the exclusivity aspect. I would be able to keep my site, but it seems like I wouldn't be able to work with any retailers on my own in the future... so maybe if a great opportunity came up I would miss out because of being stuck in a contract or whatever. What other negatives are there?

3) What should I do in terms of social media and content marketing? What would I post on an Instagram account after showing off the posters? What could I blog about?

4) Should I copyright my images? I know that copyright already belongs to me, but I have also read that officially claiming/filing copyright would give me a stronger case if something were to come up.

5) If I got into paid advertising, what would be the best platform? Facebook? Instagram? I'm thinking Google Adwords might not be the best since I couldn't really visually showcase the posters. Facebook and Instagram would allow me to get my posters in front of people, which I think would be a big positive. Which of those two would be better?
