Shipping light items not through the USPS entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hey there,

I live in the US, and I ship 1-2 items a week. They are usually really light packages, only a couple ounces, and in small 6inx8in envelopes. After a lot of research, I found that the USPS was the best option, price-wise. After using them for a couple months, I found out why.

They lose so many packages! It's bananas they are allowed to operate! I've sent 15 packages in the past two months and they've manages to lose THREE!

I've looked at FedEx and UPS, and based on height/weight each charges around $10/package, where the USPS was charging maybe $2.50/package. Is there any way I can get a cheaper rate? I can't deal with so many lost packages, but the higher rates are going to eat up my already thin margins.

Any advice is much appreciated!
