I manage Marketing for a public company in the US.In the past, we have had poor results with SEO companies and their promises, so I have decided to embark on an initiative to bring it somewhat in-house and train myself and a couple of team members on SEO/SEM.
We have a decent spend allotted but am hesitant to throw money at a company like BrightEdge who promised us the moon. Any suggestions on where to kickoff training ourselves (I assume there are paid-for online academies or consultants to help guide us). We have already dipped our toes into the waters of SEMrush and MozPro, but that stuff is overwhelming. We are going to take a webinar this week on MozPro so hopefully that will clarify that platform a bit.
Any help/insight/suggestions is greatly appreciated.
