Do you submit your sitemap to search engines? earn by blogging adsense income

I have link to my sitemap in robots.txt so all crawlers can find it. However, when I introduce new pages I am submitting my sitemap to search engines.

I can ping Google and Bing by accessing URL like search-engine/ping?sitemap=sitemap-url. It looks to me, that other search engines - DuckDuckGo, Baidu, Yandex, Seznam don't have such thing.

So, I have two questions: a) It's worth pinging them to speed up crawling? b) Are there some other search engines that support ping?
