Almost a year ago, my husband and I left corporate America to start our own venture. We were tired of uninspiring roles, bad bosses and a general lack of freedom, so we turned to what we knew best – travel.
Over the last decade, we’ve visited more than 40 countries while testing out the world’s best travel brands. When we realized that the best wasn’t good enough (or way too expensive), we decided to make something that was.
Together, we came up Nomad Lane, a brand of travel accessories that are stylish, well made and thoughtfully designed. Most importantly, they are affordable (between $22 and $88).
We wanted to make sure we didn’t launch to crickets so we built a referral program on Kickoff Labs (http://ift.tt/2i2xpwp). We’ve been offering free product to our friends/family who refer a certain number of people. Kickoff Labs is a great tool and I would highly recommend it for anyone in pre-launch.
We have received a pretty good number of leads. We’re about halfway to our email signup goal. But as we try to grow beyond our network, I’m having trouble thinking of other ways we can reach people.
