Started a business Earlier this year - Now we're being targeted by our competitors - what do we do? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing well.

I have lurked/posted in this forum for about 2 years now through various accounts. I've learned from you all and helped others grow as well...but now I'm facing a problem I've never had to deal with before.

I started a marketing company that focused on website design and social media marketing. We also offer video production, graphic design, and a couple of other services on the side. Our business model is a bit different than businesses of the same type and we've been doing really well for being new.

So I got word that a larger marketing company in my area had a rush meeting on us last week and that they're watching our page to attempt & poach our clients. We have since stopped posting client business names on our page and are trying to figure out how to mitigate this attack.

Their parent company acquired a company about 10 years ago for 8 billion...We aren't worth nearly that much.

I'm wondering which way I should pivot this...At this point we're going to stay moving forward with the company...So some questions I have are:

*Should I be concerned about them running my business to the ground?

*If so, what could I do to mitigate it?

*Should I be expecting an request for acquisition in the future?

Please anyone who has info on this I would really appreciate it. I haven't had to deal with something like this ever, so being ahead of the curve would be great.
