I got approached by a company to fix their website after the person they hired royally screwed it up. It needs almost a complete overhaul. Page restructure, SEO, all that jazz.
One of the things is this company has some fantastic content for their site, but its all in PDFs. They manufacture their own products so they have all this support documentation, manuals, training aids, and white papers. Their old site and the new one, just had a page with links to the pdfs all listed on it. No summaries or anything, just a list of titles of the pdfs as links to the files.
A lot of these documents have some really good long tail keywords. These PDFs also have a lot of backlinks to other sites.
Would I be better off leaving them as a 1-page list of PDFs or make pages for the best of the pdfs, summarize them, redirect and optimize the page for SEO that way?
