I have seen several posts about YouTube in this and other subs recently and most of you don't get it. People who don't even make videos or got any significant numbers push outdated advice on people and earn countless up votes for it. Yes most of the things like daily uploads and all that stuff can help but you all take it complete out of context. For someone with practically no views or subscribers daily uploads are probably the worst thing you can do. All you get is a channel spammed full with videos and no views. When a viewer finds one of your random videos he might klick on your channel get overwhelmed by tons of mediocre at best videos and leave unimpressed to the next recommended video. If you have good numbers then yes it makes a difference to have a upload plan and push seo but at the start focus on the videos only. Your first video should be a masterpiece or a trailer of such. Then every video should follow up on that path. So if someone finds a video he will be blown away (giving he is in the target audience) klick on your channel, end up watching lots if not all your videos and comment something like "plz upload I can't wait" and there you earned your self a real subscriber. Especially at the beginning while you still search your direction and work on your skills a video should take you days or weeks and your end product should definitely get up votes, likes or whatever if shared. Your videos should feel like short movies but please don't start vlogging I am not talking about who you think. Everyone and their dog has a channel either doing incredible boring lets plays or vlogs talking about whatever he had for lunch, where he is coming from and where he is going now.
I didn't really start from scratch since I had a few channels for fun over the years and one with 1000 subs back when it was a big deal so I had some experience but anyways made about 100$ Month 1 $300 month 2 $1000+ since then and fairly confident I will hit 2k soon.
Close to 30 videos, 10 Mil views, 10k subs, no shoutouts, no collabs, no subs bought, no website, no investment other then time.
