I'm 21 years old and currently still a student. For a long time I have dreamed of opening a business and now I have a concrete idea.

I want to open up a business in import/export. I have two native languages and two fluent ones, so I thought about importing and exporting products from two different countries.

Now let's say I buy a product from a wholesaler and I want to sell it in the other country. After that, I have to add the cost of shipping it, taxes, customs, etc. and after adding all these costs, how do I calculate my own profit.

To put it into numbers, let's say I want to sell pencils. One pencil at the wholesaler costs 5 USD, if I add all the other aforementioned costs, it would be 10 USD. For how much USD should I sell a pencil in the country I am exporting to?
