SEO impact of very similar articles? earn by blogging adsense income

I'm fairly new to SEO and I'm currently doing about 20 articles that will say pretty much the same thing except the keyword will be replaced.

Imagine I do 20 articles that say "I love Reddit but I also like [keyword]" but the whole article would be 500 words. Could I do more or less the same article but replace the keyword or would that hurt my SEO?

For example:

I love Reddit but I also like dogs I love Reddit but I also like cats I love Reddit but I also like food

The reason I'm asking is because I'm doing articles for different resources which will basically just link to the tool/resource so the text of the article could basically look the same as the other articles but just with the new keyword.

Could I do this or would Google punish me?

I hope my question was clear. I basically want to do 20 articles that will be phrased the same but with different keywords.

I appreciate any feedback.
