I am currently in school studying Civil Engineering, and will hopefully be done with my degree by the time I'm 25-26. I plan to work for a few construction companies to get a feel for the industry for a few years before I throw myself into the game on my own.
But my question is, is there any general tips for this venture? Is there anything I can be doing right now so that it eases my venture in the future? I already have some rough numbers in terms of staff size I would want (10) and what kind of construction I would be wanting to do.
What is the usual startup cost? I know it isn't cheap by any means, but I would be saving as of now, and maybe applying for a business loan when the time comes. Any specifics on this would be greatly appreciated!
