Until recently, my site was the #1 result for several key terms. Now its far below #1. I still rank well for most terms, but losing a few key ones is a big hit and I want to address it.
The only major change I've made is adding optinmonster (Desktop only) as an exit intent popup. I added that around a month ago. As recently as two months ago I was #1 for those same terms.
- Is optinmonster a plausible cause?
- Are there any other plausible causes? E.g. Did google do a big rankings update?
I don't think it's due to a single competitor ranking better, as my site has dropped below a variety of other sites.
