I started a company seven years ago doing a service in sports. I've built a great base who are bought in and recurring. If we do 200 K a year in revenue and I take home about half that in profit.
The problem with the service of course is that not only do I have to sell it consistently and repeatedly, I have to actually be involved in putting on the event or doing the time spent with individual kids (even though I have one full-time employee and five part time)
I have taken the time to record all of my "wow" lesson plans thoroughly (About 500 of them). I'm thinking of creating a product out of my service that I can scale nationwide. My holdbacks of course are: 1) is it my lessons that people currently come for? Or is it the personality? 2) I have bills and mortgage and a family, it's tough to walk away from 100K a year, even though I'm burnt out from it.
