I want to replace my VPS, will a IP address change impact my rankings? earn by blogging adsense income

My current VPS is poorly configured and insecure (I did it myself years ago when I didn't knew much about web development and server management). I want to replace the OS and all config settings, however I have a few sites on it that get a lot of traffic and thus I can't afford downtime. Thats why I want to purchase a new VPS, configure it and then edit the A records. This is my entire plan:

• Buy new VPS
• Configure new VPS
• Migrate all files, databases etc
• Update DNS records
• Keep old VPS online for a week to make sure all dns servers worldwide point to the new server
• Delete old vps

How does Google handle a IP adres change? Will my rankings suffer from this move?
