Started my new business, and about to hire my first employee. TAX question for you accountants, any info is greatly appreciated. entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

As the title states, I am about to go live with my new company in 1 month and want to hire my first employee. This employee is going to be commission only.

Can any accountants or anyone that has gone through this before, be so kind to tell me how/what I need to do to hire this individual in the state of Florida?

Is it better to hire him as a contractor (1099) or full time exempt? What is the process I need to take so I am compliant and file all earnings for this employee?
