Rate my Press Release Pitch for new Startup (Seriously, I need advice, I'm 16 years old and have no clue of what I'm doing) entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hi all,

After successfuly launching my first business, which is set to aid in the funding of this new venture in the area of exercise clothing/activewear, with a focus on providing for all shapes and sizes - I'm now looking for advice.

In the run up to our launch, I'm going to be reaching out to a diverse range of publications and blogs, so thought I'd draw up a rough template/guide for my pitches.

Any feedback, constructive or otherwise, you can provide is much appreciated, I need all the help possible!

One thing I would say though, is that I am aware that the first paragraph is four lines more than I would normally be comfortable with, however, I think that the slighlty higher word count has allowed for a better, more captivating summary as it were, so hopefully the reader on the recieving end won't become disinterested.

I’m [My name], founder and lead on business development, with our new health and exercise clothing startup called ‘[Company name]’, and I think (hope) you may be interested in our new line of products. To cut to the point, we’ve seen the gap in the market - as a 16 year old with many great friends, and indeed friends’ parents trying to enjoy their health, I’ve seen traditional, corporate activewear providers plainly discriminating - perhaps through no fault of their own, they have restricted their sizing for clothing and manner of engagement with consumers. This has directly prevented and put off millions of men and women from loving their health and empowering their bodies, simply because they don’t fit the projected, stereotypical body type. As such I was inspired to found [Company Name], where we have sourced a broad range of fitness garments, designed to fit all shapes and sizes, regardless of who you are, and how your body looks. We truly believe that fitness and health is for all.

We are currently in the process of launching our brand and range of activewear, complete with newly sourced technologies - now, I've seen really engaging posts like, "Embrace your health now: The 10 Best Leggings for your workout" from your blog, and we were hoping you could do something similar with our products or such. In any case, we're open to any ideas for a blog post.

I thought I’d give you first refusal to review our garments before contacting other publications. If you could let me know if you’re keen to learn more, I’d appreciate it - I can provide in depth information on the technologies behind the materials we’re using, and our founding story. We're also more than happy to provide your readers with a discount code, and thus a significant commission rate to you, from any sales that might come from your publication.
