2 Websites - 1 Address earn by blogging adsense income

Dentist A joins Dentist practice. Prior to joining, Dentist A maintained a website. This is where most of Dentist A's business came from, so Dentist A still currently runs the website, continuing to receive a substantial amount of business from it. Dentist practice did not maintain a website, but created one shortly after Dentist A joined the firm. Dentist A's website shows up in local "google places," but Dentist practice website does not. After a bit of research, it looks like Dentist A's "google place" address is the address of dentist practice. Meanwhile, Dentist practice's google place is using the same address.

Because there are two websites using the same address, do you think Google is merging these two websites as one for purposes of Google places? Which would account for why Dentist Practice's website is not appearing very high on google searches?
