I'm the founder with two co-founders. We have a product ready for market. We are already doing the work to get us a successful campaign, but this is our first campaign. As we see it, it will cost ~$70k in advertising to brute-force our way to a million dollar campaign. If we reach the million dollar level, I will have been paid ~$50 per hour for the 4000 hours I've spent over the last six years to bring us to this point.
We've attempted to work with 2 crowdfunding coaches to get us to a successful campaign. They want a HUGE amount of compensation for what looks to be not too much work above and beyond what we are already doing. How can they possibly think that because they have a couple of successful campaigns under their belt they are worth $350-$500 per hour? Their audacity is insulting to me when I've been working so long and risking my life on this project.
Am I missing something here? Are they worth it? What do they know that I can't figure out and do myself?
