Hi, I studied and worked for a couple of fast-growing start-ups in Silicon Valley but then decided to move back to my home country and started working as a freelancer. Once my dad's friend asked my dad what do I do and if his son can join me as he doesn't want to move to another city. He joined me but I had no work for him. I started looking for work on UpWork (back then it was called oDesk) and found something to recover his salary from that. Slowly it started picking up and I started raising my hourly rate. I also started hiring locally but since I live in a very small town, it's almost impossible to find talented developers and designers. I hired few and trained them but everybody here wants to move to big cities so they all left in a year or two. By then my yearly revenue had crossed almost $200K. But I decided to find anybody locally as training them for 3-4 months was too much of a work and that was affecting my current work as well. This year in April I decided to stop consulting as start working on my own ideas. I worked on a project and sold it on JVZoo marketplace with the help of one of my past clients. The product made $100K+ in revenue in first 3 days ($10K+ in monthly recurring and $50K+ in yearly recurring). When it came time to split, I realized that I was being cheated and not treated well. I decided to end the partnership even if that meant losing all the money that was made as self-respect was more important to me. Now I'm at a stage where I have a good technical knowledge and experience of more than 10 years building large scalable application some of which have already made $100K+ in yearly revenue but I wish to move up on the ladder and form a remote team with a co-founder who can take some load off of my shoulder and share equal responsibilities in building a successful tech business.

What should be my approach? Have you been in this situation before?
