Looking for advice entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Background

I made a spreadsheet that takes a few inputs from a user and performs some calculations that are helpful for decision making. I could give out the spreadsheet for free but I know it would be more useful as an intuitive app with some functionality that is usable almost a daily basis.

Issue

My dilemma is that I would like to see this bird fly but do not have time to commit to it. I know that ideas are a dime a dozen so while the spreadsheet has utility, it doesn't have any real monetary value as is.

Ask

I'd like to hear how other people might approach or have already navigated a similar situation. My quick thoughts are - wait until this becomes a priority and use the available tools to build an MVP (might be a 4 year old's finger painting compared to a pro), hire someone and pay them for their time (no idea what the price range would look like), or something I'm not seeing.
