Why not just use UPS Store address for service of process/registered agent? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

So I have two LLCs I've had for a few years and haven't really done anything with. I use them for some light consulting every now and then, but they don't own or do anything really. Honestly I just keep them now to get business credit cards to get the sign up bonuses.

So I noticed that LegalZoom sneakily raised my Registered Agent fee to $300 a LLC, up from $159 each. Trying to get that fixed but it got my thinking - I already have a UPS Store address I use for business/junk mail/etc., why not just use that for the service of process especially since I haven't gotten anything like ever that needed service of process. If anything ever happens I can just pay whatever small fine there is to get the LLC back in good standing.

Anyone else just skipping the RA fee and using their UPS Store address?
