Currently planning a transition to an updated eCommerce store (switching from Big Commerce to X Cart). We have several thousand products on the old site and I'm trying to figure out how many I should be setting up 301 redirects for... My thought was to redirect the top 100-200 in terms of organic traffic/impressions, based on Analytics and Search Console data. Anyone disagree with this strategy?
Basically, I'm trying to figure out whether the time invested in setting up a redirect outweighs its value at a certain point, and what that threshold is... Would love insight if others have experience with this type of situation.
