Hi fellow enterpreneurs. I am starting a company and The premise is that consumers can buy from my shop consumer electronics and they have the option to repay the good in 12 interest-free monthly installments. For someone to be eligible to get into the monthly installments plan we set up some rules. Such as 1.Sign a contract indicating that the item is company property until it is repaid and we can take legal action in case the person is not paying. 2.Have a passport/Id from my country and have a copy of it. 3. A copy of a utility bill with their name. 4. A payslip copy 5. A scan of the front of their Visa card(maybe) 6. Setting up a standing order for our customers. All this is order to minimize bad debts. My main issue is though dealing with bad debts. Are their any other ways to eliminate/minimize the chance of someone not paying? Do you have any suggestions that can be useful dealing with this type of issue.
