I do not know where to post this and I need advice, this is about earning money in your career and friendships? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

So this is the story, I am a burgeoning star in the entertainment industry, I will not reveal what I do about I am in the star category (actor, singer, rapper, etc...) not the behind the scenes person

Anyways, with this, I have been approached and made friends with lots of people from top tier stars and business people (executives, producers, directors, other musicians, etc...)

I have friends in LA who are not in the entertainment industry

I had a friend who was around me when I bumped into a star and this star apparently had a business proposition and my friend butted in and placed himself in the business through great convo with the star/businessperson

this person said "since your friends with (me), you can join and be a part of this"

the thing is, we are not great friends and I was hanging out with this person cause I was bored and I truly do not have any friends that I would be comfortable enough to help make money by association with me

My question is, should I be upset? or happy for this person even though we are not great friends and he is one of those friends where we are friends until it is convenient for us not to be?

I confronted him about using me to get this opportunity and he didn't care and said I should stop hating and if I screwed this up he would beat my ass

I hate people using me for their gain like that

I tried to tell him to not attend as I do not appreciate him using me as a reason to be a part of this and make money off my name

I had this happen before and the person built relationships and is now growing a great business within the industry and we have not talked since

they both think I overreact and should be happy to help but not sure sincre they are obvi biased
