Earlier last week, Uber launched its 'Express Pool' feature which in short requests the rider to walk a bit to the pickup and drop point to shorten the overall trip time for everyone part of the pool.
Now this is expected to be 50% cheaper than Uber Pool and 70% cheaper than Uber X
However, express pool drivers in Boston and San Francisco have already started to complain that riders don't really understand this concept and still request the driver to come to their location.
So for other ride-hailing service providers, would this feature be a useful add-on? People have already liked the Uber pool feature for its cheap rates, and Uber express pool boasts even cheaper rates at the cost of walking down a block worth distance for pick-up and drop.
Unfortunately, I am not a regular Uber Pool user. But for Pool users out there, is it a better option to walk a block for a 50% cheaper rate? or get picked up conveniently from your location?
