To give some background, I'm a software engineer who is involved in a few projects/companies in more technical work.
However, I see an opportunity in a niche to sell stickers/accessories/merch. These would have custom artwork (targeted towards the market) and would be limited to, say, 20 designs which I can mass manufacture.
I've done some research and it's quite easy to start printing stickers, and I wouldn't imagine it to be difficult to order/print shirts, mugs, etc.
However, I'm concerned about the margin/profitability of this area. The price of shipping for a few simple stickers greatly outweigh the price of the sticker itself. Even though these wouldn't be readily available locally, I'm wondering whether it would be feasible to launch an online business around this specialty.
I do recognize that talking to my customers is the best way to go, but I'm hoping that there are a few entrepreneurs here who have similar businesses, and can share some insight.
