I have a website that is reporting a bunch of errors in the Google Search index for the wordpress directory /wp-includes/*
I'm not entirely certain as to how I should proceed with this. I'm not entirely sure why google is trying to index that directory - and not entirely certain on the correct method to stop it doing so without effecting the sites SEO negatively.
What action should I be taking to solve this issue?
My .htaccess file is as follows:
BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule index.php$ - [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] </IfModule>
END WordPress
Wordfence WAF
<IfModule LiteSpeed> php_value auto_prepend_file '/home/melindah/public_html/wordfence-waf.php' </IfModule> <IfModule lsapi_module> php_value auto_prepend_file '/home/melindah/public_html/wordfence-waf.php' </IfModule> <Files ".user.ini"> <IfModule mod_authz_core.c> Require all denied </IfModule> <IfModule !mod_authz_core.c> Order deny,allow Deny from all </IfModule> </Files>
END Wordfence WAF
